MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES

THURSDAYS - New Haw Library

5pm to 6pm 5 to 11 year olds
6pm to 7pm 12 to 18 year olds

SATURDAYS - PYRFORD VILLAGE HALL

9am to 9.30am 4 to 5 year olds Musical Tots
9am to 9.30am 6 to 8 year olds Foundation
11.30 to 12 noon 9 to 12 year olds Intermediate
1pm to 2pm 13 years upwards Senior

The musical tots class for 4 to 5 year olds, will introduce your child to the wonderful world of singing in a safe and fun environment! Explore songs and rhythms and see your child’s communication skills and confidence develop.

The Foundation class is for children 6 to 8 year olds, they will explore a range of well known and favourite musicals, Disney films and shows and will be taught rhythm and pitch in this fun and educational 30 minute class.

Pupils in the Intermediate class 9 to 12 year olds will explore a variety of well known songs from musicals and films, building on the skills learnt in the foundation class, as well as teaching those new to musical theatre.
Senior classes for those aged 13 to 18 will be looking at singing technique, drama and movement, the material used will be suitable for the which will stretch the age of the pupils in the class, either building on previous skills learnt or those new to musical theatre.
In all of the musical theatre classes, pupils will gain confidence and self-esteem plus learn how to express themselves through the musical theatre classes. These skills can be carried into all parts of their life and education, not just in a Thursday or Saturday!
Our classes are suitable for all levels from the beginner to the more experienced, for those who love it as a hobby or those who wish to pursue this as a career.

For those who wish to continue this into a career we offer advice for auditioning for drama and performing arts schools, help with selection of audition material and audition technique coaching.

Each term the pupils will have a different theme: Show, exam and skills, exploring a wide range of musical theatre songs and scripts from a wide range of musicals.

All pupils can perform in our end of year show case in July and also take LAMDA examinations in Musical Theatre and Acting, - solo, pairs or groups.

Throughout the year pupils can also take part in local concerts and performing arts festivals including Woking, Guildford and Godalming in Acting, Musical Theatre and Singing.

All classes are run by professional teachers and theatre practitioners, who have been CRB checked to enhanced level.

Weekly Fees
Musical Tots £3.50 a week,
Foundation £3.50 a week,
Intermediate £3.50 a week
Senior £5.50 a week

We run a 14 week term for the Autumn term,
12 week spring term and a 13 week summer term.

We offer: 10% sibling discount & 10 % discount for
2nd or 3rd class taken.

We do require an admin fee £15.00 to secure a place in our musical theatre classes which covers materials provided – words and cds for practising.
